Weather in Ireland

Weather in Ireland is mild all year round with no extreme highs or lows. Have a look at our Weather in Ireland guide temperatures in Celcius and Fahrenheit to give you an idea.

Weather in Ireland
Temperatures in Ireland are very mild and we don't have extremes of temperature like in other countries. The Gulf Stream is a current which flows across the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico and keeps us warm during the Winter and cool during the Summer. Here is a list of typical temperatures in celcius and farhenheit in the table below:-
Month Celcius Fahrenheit
January 3-10 37-50
February 4-14 39-57
March 5-18 41-64
April 6-20 43-68
May 8-22 46-71
June 11-24 52-75
July 13-26 55-79
August 13-25 55-79
September 11-22 52-71
October 9-18 48-64
November 5-14 41-57
December 4-12 39-54
Although the table above shows the minimum as being 3 C and the maximum as being 26 C, the temperatures do sometimes fall above or below these ranges and can reach lows of -4 C or highs of 34 C on very rare occasions. We get between 30 and 40 inches of rain each year, we might get between 2 and 3 falls of snow each year (1-2 inches)and they seldom last for more than a day or two.
